Two designs, both playable

These are not two versions of the same game. The Factions build is the current direction: five factions, fixed 22-card decks, and a tight set of keywords that all do something. The Card Pool build came first and went the other way — hundreds of individually named cards and no faction restrictions at all.

Both are up because the honest answer to which is better is "play them and see". The card pool has more ideas in it; the faction build is the one you can actually teach someone in five minutes.
